What inspired
him to pursue a career as an ophthalmologist?
His parents
and second brother have inspired him to pursue a career as an ophthalmologist.
After his graduation from general medicine and residency in ophthalmology, he noticed
that eyes play an essential role in our daily lives despite of their small
sizes in our body. He notices the neglect of using unprescribed eye drops which
is the main cause of severe blindness. More significantly, some causes of
blindness are reversible. Therefore, it has become his dream to treat and
prevent blindness among Cambodians.
Dr. Tor Krytha
stated that you should check your eyes at least once a year to ensure that you
are healthy because even though you believe you can see with both eyes, you
never know how much or how well you can see. Can you see 100% clear and well?
Furthermore, some diseases, like as open angle glaucoma, allow people to be
unaware of the progressive vision loss because there are no noticeable
symptoms. Only an ophthalmologist can diagnose and cure your eyes.
In Japan Eye
Hospital, he will diagnose patients' eye issues with a variety of technology,
including contemporary machines imported from Japan, in a comfortable,
concrete, and timely manner. He also gives unbiased advice, let patients
participate actively in all decisions related to their eye and eye health care,
assess each situation carefully, and help whatever the situation.
After all, the
doctor recommend more frequent eye check-ups during old age. And the people whose
job is heavily demanding in terms of visual engagement, are also advised to get
their eyes fully checked more frequently.
